New Anaphylaxis CME Activities Available
Two new anaphylaxis virtual patient cases are available in the AAAAI Continuing Education Center. These recently added educational activities are part of the Anaphylaxis Identification and Management (AIM) Initiative.
The AIM virtual patient series presents a series of simulated encounters with patients who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, an anaphylactic reaction. Challenge your ability to effectively diagnose and manage anaphylaxis in accordance with the best evidence on the subject by completing these new cases:
- AIM Virtual Patient - Lisa Wayne: You are called to the Emergency Department to assess a young female patient who has presented after five days of dysuria, vomiting, and abdominal pain. She has been unresponsive to the treatment administered so far. How would you diagnose and treat this patient?
- AIM Virtual Patient - Ben Johnson: You are called to the Emergency Department for your help treating Ben Johnson. Ben experienced a severe reaction shortly after visiting a Chinese restaurant, and the staff needs your expertise to accurately diagnose and treat him. How will you approach this case?
Access the cases from the Continuing Education Center’s Anaphylaxis Education learning group or the Education Catalog.
The AIM Initiative is funded through an educational grant from sanofi-aventis, U.S.
