Did You Miss the USP Panel in Los Angeles?

A recording is now available from the special panel discussion at the Annual Meeting. It covers the United States Pharmacopeia's (USP's) proposed changes to the sterile compounding rules, its potential implications on the allergy/immunology specialty and what the AAAAI has done about the issue. USP Updates

The AAAAI continues to work collaboratively with the ACAAI, AAOA and others to address the issue of USP and allergen immunotherapy compounding. All three organizations have recently had calls with USP to voice our concerns regarding this issue, with the AAAAI's primary consideration being that patient access to quality medical care is paramount.

The AAAAI's representation in DC is also continuing their outreach to various legislators and stakeholders who may be impacted by these proposed rules. While it is too early to predict the outcome of these discussions, we remain optimistic and very pleased with the incredible efforts of Washington Health Advocates and Hart Health Strategies who are representing AAAAI on this issue.
