Latest 2014 Annual Meeting News: Cutting-Edge Keynote Speaker Confirmed, SLIT Symposium Will Be Recorded and Offered Free to Meeting Delegates

In the latest 2014 Annual Meeting news, the speaker for the Cutting-Edge Research Keynote has been confirmed and a symposium on sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) is set to be recorded and made available to all meeting delegates free of charge.

James R. Baker, Jr., MD, FAAAAI, will be the speaker for the Cutting-Edge Research Keynote in San Diego. Dr. Baker is Director of the Michigan Nanotechnology Institute for Medicine and Biological Sciences and has over 25 years experience in basic biologic research, concentrating in immunology and host defense. He has become an internationally recognized expert in nanotechnology, nanomolecular materials in biomedical applications, and the emerging field of nanomedicine.

Be sure to attend the Cutting-Edge Keynote, which is scheduled for Monday, March 3 at 3:30 pm.

Another 2014 Annual Meeting session that is expected to be of high interest to delegates is the symposium, “SLIT: Implementation in Your Practice.” To ensure all meeting attendees have access to this symposium, it will be recorded in San Diego and following the Annual Meeting, it will be available online free of charge to registered meeting attendees.

AAAAI President Linda Cox, MD, FAAAAI, is one of the speakers at the session, which will include a review of how SLIT works, a discussion of the results of pivotal SLIT clinical trials and how to use SLIT in practice.

“SLIT: Implementation in Your Practice” will take place Saturday, March 1 at 2:00 pm. Once the meeting is over, more details will be provided on how to access the recording of the session.
