Asthma Educator Course Comes to Los Angeles

Do you educate patients with asthma? Do you want to learn more about certification or recertification as an asthma educator?

Don’t miss “Becoming an Asthma Educator and Care Manager” at the 2016 Annual Meeting in Los Angeles on Monday, March 7. It is not available every year and only 50 people may attend.

This session is offered by the AAAAI in partnership with the Association of Asthma Educators (AAE) and in accordance with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Expert Panel Report 3 (EPR-3): Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma. Physicians can earn 6.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Attendees will be able to describe the burden of asthma in the United States, describe key components of Asthma management from EPR-3, identify and evaluate patients’ and caregivers’ educational needs and select management tools to optimize partnerships in care. Click here to view the final schedule.

Not planning to stay for the whole Annual Meeting? Want to invite a colleague from the Los Angeles area? Not a problem. Registration is $200 for those who are not planning to attend the entire Annual Meeting, however, those who register for both the Annual Meeting and the Asthma Educators Program receive a discount. The cost to attend is $150 for those already registered for the Annual Meeting.
