Just Announced: Food Allergy Course to Follow 2016 Annual Meeting

Stay in Los Angeles for an extra day to take advantage of a new, stand-alone course. Space is limited to only 80 attendees.

Immediately after the 2016 AAAAI Annual Meeting, the International Network for Diet and Nutrition in Allergy (INDANA) in collaboration with AAAAI will be hosting a full-day live course. Titled “Food Allergy: The Spectrum of Disease, its Diagnosis and Management,” it will take place at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles on Tuesday, March 8 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This course is tailored for physicians, nurses and dieticians who treat food allergic patients.

Topics include: food allergy prevention (the LEAP and LEAP On studies), understanding non-IgE-mediated allergies and differential diagnosis, principles of nutrition and dietary management and the role of the microbiome. In the afternoon, attendees can participate in a variety of problem-based learning workshops to offer in-depth exposure to common nutritional issues in food allergy management.

The course is approved for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM for physicians and continuing education contact hours for nurses. Additional details pertaining to the agenda, speakers, cost and registration for the course will be made available soon. Again, space is limited to a maximum of 80 attendees so stay tuned for full registration details.

This course is funded by an educational grant from Nutricia North America.
