Register for NAB and Applied IV Therapy Courses before the Annual Meeting

New 2017 Pre-AAAAI Annual Meeting Thursday Course Offering: Applied IV Therapy for the Allergy/Immunology Practice

Can’t wait for the Annual Meeting? Join us in Atlanta a day early for a one day, hands-on course covering the science and practicalities of using infusion therapies in the allergy/immunology practice at the Georgia World Congress Center on Thursday, March 2 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Applied IV Therapy for the Allergy/Immunology Practice will provide a unique opportunity for physicians and allied health professionals to learn about the appropriate use of allergy/immunology therapeutics that are administered by IV, while also taking part in hands-on skills training and practice management.

To register, visit education.aaaai.org/ivtherapy17 today. Space is limited.

Attendees can earn up to 7.5 CME/CE credits. The cost is $50 for physicians and $25 for eligible allied health professionals and fellows-in-training. Contact cme@aaaai.org for the discount code or for more information. Applied IV Therapy for the Allergy/Immunology Practice is funded through an educational grant from Teva Respiratory.

Changes in NAB Training Course

The Basic Aerobiology course at the 2017 Annual Meeting will now be a stand-alone one day program on Thursday, March 2 with a separate registration fee. Basic pollen identification will be reviewed in the morning and the afternoon session will be on basic fungal spore identification.

This course, which serves as a prerequisite to the National Allergy Bureau (NAB) certification exam, provides skills in identifying airborne pollen grain and fungal spores – the hallmark of our specialty. Attending these programs will benefit the station counters and physicians who treat patients with pollen and mold allergies.

The Board of Directors has provided ten $200 scholarships to offset the cost of NAB stations sending their staff to this meeting. The NAB is a volunteer network and these scholarships are being provided to assist this volunteer effort. These scholarships are for new counters and certified counters wanting to update their counting skills. The scholarship application deadline is January 3, 2017.
