Two Member Webinars in January
Don’t miss these two exciting webinars, provided at no cost to AAAAI members.
Shifting Provider Compensation From Fee-for-Service to a New Era
The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA), the replacement for the Sustainable Growth Rate, incorporates Merit-Based Incentive Payment Systems (MIPS) and Alternative Payment Models (APMs) as new mechanisms through which physicians will be paid by Medicare. Through the Healthcare Planning and Learning Action Network, a public-private partnership between CMS and private payers, insurers have committed to evolving their payment structures to include the changes as well, starting as early as 2017.
What we know about MIPS and APMS, and how these are related to the current requirements of reporting for the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), Meaningful Use, and the Value Based Modifier (VBM), and what you can be doing now to prepare for the changes that lie ahead, will be presented by Emily Graham, RHIA, CCS-P of Hart Health Strategies, part of AAAAI's Advocacy Team in Washington DC. You will be able to submit questions during the webinar. Register for the webinar here.
