Last Chance to Register for the 2015 Practice Management Workshop

This is your last chance to join over 200 physicians, practice managers and allied health providers from around the country at the 2015 AAAAI Practice Management Workshop in Denver.

The workshop will be from July 17-19 and it provides unique networking and learning opportunities for established and new allergists, fellows-in-training (FITs), practice managers/administrators and allied health professionals—from chart auditing and transitioning to ICD-10 with AAAAI coding consultant Teresa Thompson, CPC, CMSCS, CCC to new sessions on building a successful, patient-centered medical practice and physician governance models in group practice.

Planning Committee Chair Melinda Rathkopf, MD, FAAAAI, touches on the various coding challenges can that practices can tackle in Denver.

“I think some practices were on track for ICD-10 last year and when postponed, lost their momentum. Many are now waiting hoping it will be postponed again. By July we should know and many may be scrambling to prepare,” she explained.

Of course, sessions on basic and advanced coding featuring AAAAI coding consultant Teresa Thompson, CPC, CMSCS, CCC, are always popular. “Coding and Billing 101” will cover the basic principles of medical coding and it was designed especially for FITs, new allergists and managers/administrators who may have only had minimal exposure to coding terminology and theory.

Other workshop sessions include:

  • Advanced Coding Workshop: Chart Auditing and ICD-10
  • Meeting Government Mandates
  • Keys to Success in Academic Medicine
  • Building a Patient Centered Medical Practice
  • Risk Management, Embezzlement and Fraud Protection

Attendees can earn continuing education credits at the Practice Management Workshop: a maximum number of 13.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for physicians and up to 15.90 Contact Hours through the California Board of Registered Nursing.
