Look Ahead to Los Angeles: The 2016 AAAAI Annual Meeting
You are invited to join thousands of allergist/immunologists, allied health and related healthcare professionals for four full days with hundreds of educational offerings on a variety of topics including allergic disease, asthma, immunotherapy, food allergy, GI disease, skin disease, primary immunodeficiency disease, practice management, new technologies and health care reform.
In response to attendee feedback, the 2016 AAAAI Annual Meeting will be the first to cover four days (Friday through Monday) instead of five days (Friday through Tuesday). Another first for the 2016 Annual Meeting, attendees will be able to follow an overall programming theme, which is “Allergic and Immunologic Diseases: Prevention or Disease Modification.”
Registration and housing for the 2016 Annual Meeting is now officially open for all delegates. For the best chance of getting into the sessions you would like to attend in Los Angeles, AAAAI Fellows and members should register as soon as possible. Registration now at annualmeeting.aaaai.org.
2016 AAAAI Annual Meeting Late Breaking Abstract Submission Site Now Open
While general submissions have officially closed, your research may be eligible for late breaking submission. Late breaking abstracts must be of high quality, represent an important research advance and present information that was not available at the time of regular abstract submission. Abstract submission for the 2016 AAAAI Annual Meeting is underway at annualmeeting.aaaai.org and closes on November 16.
Once abstracts have been reviewed and officially accepted, they will be presented at the 2016 AAAAI Annual Meeting and published in a supplement to The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (JACI).
2016 AAAAI Foundation Benefit: A/I: The Future Frontier
Join us to celebrate “A/I: The Future Frontier” under the Space Shuttle Endeavour in the Samuel Oschin Pavilion at the California Science Center on Saturday, March 5 during the AAAAI Annual Meeting. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the event runs until 10:00 pm.

2016 AAAAI Foundation 5K Run/Walk: Light Up the Night
Get your running and walking shoes ready for the Fourth Annual AAAAI Foundation 5K Run/Walk. As the sun sets on Sunday, March 6, join us to “Light Up the Night” in Los Angeles in support of asthma and allergy research. This glowing event will be hard to miss.
The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 5:30 pm outside the doors of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Registration includes a t-shirt and glow gear to brighten the evening. AAAAI Foundation 5K Run/Walk Registration is as follows:

- Child Run/Walk Registration (under 12 years, $0/ no T-Shirt)

2016 AAAAI Annual Meeting Plenary Sessions
While there are hundreds of educational sessions to choose from at the 2016 Annual Meeting, the plenary sessions remain the premier sessions of the meeting. Remember, plenaries will begin Friday afternoon rather than Saturday morning. Pre-Plan to Fulfill MOC Requirements at the 2016 Annual Meeting
Did you know that AAAAI members are able to satisfy Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part II requirements for free while visiting Los Angeles? Pre-planning is necessary to complete this activity for MOC.
AAAAI has created a self-assessment activity that will allow members to earn AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit™ and satisfy MOC Part II Self-Assessment requirements by participating in existing CME offerings provided by the AAAAI. The International Gastrointestinal Eosinophilic Researchers Symposium (TIGERS)
The Fifth International Gastrointestinal Eosinophil Researchers Symposium (TIGERS) returns to the Annual Meeting in 2016 on Thursday, March 3. This program is organized in conjunction with Consortium of Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease Researchers (CEGIR), which is part of the National Institute of Health Rare Disease Clinical Research Network, supported by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Local healthcare professionals may also attend the TIGERS session, even if they are not registered for the entire Annual Meeting. Pre-registration and tickets are required for the entire TIGERS course and lunch breakout sessions. More information on TIGERS is available online.
Take the Asthma Educators Course in Los Angeles
In partnership with the Association of Asthma Educators (AAE), the AAAAI will host “Association of Asthma Educators: Becoming an Asthma Educator and Care Manager” during the 2016 Annual Meeting on Monday, March 7. The cost to attend is $200 for those not attending the Annual Meeting and $150 for those already attending. Physicians can earn 6.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
