Get Ready for the 2017 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia
You are invited to join thousands of allergist/immunologists, allied health and related healthcare professionals for four full days of educational offerings. A variety of topics will be presented including allergic disease, asthma, immunotherapy, food allergy, GI disease, skin disease, primary immunodeficiency disease, practice management, new technologies and health care reform. Twenty percent of the sessions will revolve around this year’s theme: “Expanding Practice: Diagnosis & Treatment of Drug Hypersensitivity.”
Registration and housing for the 2017 Annual Meeting are now open to AAAAI Fellows and will open to all members October 19. You will receive an email from the AAAAI alerting you when registration has opened.
To get into the popular sessions in Atlanta, AAAAI Fellows and members should register as soon as possible. General delegates will be granted access to registration and housing November 2. Registration will be available at annualmeeting.aaaai.org.
If you need financial assistance to attend the Annual Meeting, the AAAAI is offering scholarship opportunities for allied health members and fellows-in-training (FIT).
Allied Health Scholarship Travel Award
If you are an AAAAI allied health member, you can apply for travel scholarships worth up to $750 to attend the 2017 Annual Meeting. The scholarship includes complimentary registration. Up to eight awards will be given by the AAAAI’s Allied Health Professionals Assembly.
The deadline to apply is Monday, November 14. The award application should include a description of an interesting allergic, asthmatic, respiratory or immunologic case or program. Awardees will be notified in December if they have been selected to receive an award. Click here for more information and to apply.
Domestic Fellow-In-Training/Post-Doctoral Fellow-In-Training Travel Scholarship
These travel awards provide financial assistance to domestic FITs and non-faculty post-doctoral FITs to attend the 2017 Annual Meeting in Atlanta. An applicant must be an AAAAI member prior to submitting an application. Individuals with a faculty appointment or who have completed their fellowship training before the 2017 Annual Meeting are ineligible.
There are three different eligibility categories: allergy/immunology FIT, post-doctoral FIT and FIT in a medical or surgical specialty other than allergy/immunology.
The submission deadline is Friday, November 18. Applicants will be notified if they have been selected in December. Access additional information and the applications here.
